BLACK CORAL No.2 Ceramics Sculpture

In the serene embrace of Ishigaki Island, where the vibrant coral reefs dance beneath azure waves, countless fragments of coral find their way to the shore, each whispering tales of the ocean’s depths. Among these, another one piece stood out, captivating with its unique form and presence.
I’ve always believed that as humans, we merely echo what the universe has already created, mirroring the divine craftsmanship that surrounds us. This coral, once a living part of the ocean’s vast tapestry, transformed through my hands.

Through this sculpture, I seek to honor the timeless connection between the divine and humanity, reminding us of the inherent beauty and uniqueness within each of us, while also humbly acknowledging our place within the vastness of creation.
