Their story began in 1964 with two brothers working together in a small joinery workshop in the north of Portugal. Through the years, that workshop grew and became the company “Móveis Carlos Alfredo” which is specialized in manufacturing & exporting solid wood furniture for more than five decades.


Believing that everything what they do is driven by an unwavering passion for creating a product of excellence.

The brand Wewood – Portuguese Joinery was founded in 2012, by the second generation of owners of that same company, after four years of hard work to raise a design house proud of its heritage and grounded in the principles of quality of the materials, durable construction and timeless design.

Wewood produce for those that appreciate the rigorous process required for high-quality manufacturing and renewable resources. Their pieces are crafted in small production runs, as thry strive to maintain the artistry and grace in traditional high-quality craftsmanship at a viable human scale with ethical methods of production.

Their ambition is to create timeless, functional and aesthetically intriguing furniture that promotes Portuguese culture and design. That’s why they try to identify and nurture talent both in the inspiration and creativity of a carefully chosen group of international designers and the hands, wisdom, and experience of their craftsmen.

Multibanqueta was developed to offer the possibility of becoming an endless bench, inviting to gather a group of people in moments of leisure and entertainment. A multipurpose piece that can be used as a stool, side or coffee table.

Scarpa Sideboard

Crafted from high-quality and certified materials, Scarpa emphasizes the traditional joinery techniques. With the structure and interiors in 100% solid wood, Scarpa is a rectangular sideboard with a unique design, offering two drawers and four divisions with a great and useful area, allowing to store any type of objects.

The pieces of wood on the doors are joined by the experienced hands of artisans, creating a dynamic game of bright/ dark, resulting visually, in a three-dimensional pattern.
